Everyone Has Their Own Reason

We all have our own justifications for working out. To be quite honest, there is never a bad reason to start. Today’s post is a simple question: Why do YOU workout? What was it that got you to put that thought into action? Please feel free to share as your answer may be the one to inspire our readers to change their lives today!

A day that includes a workout is a day well lived.

  1. I wanted to get fit to walk the Inca Trail in Peru. I did it and it was absolutely amazing. Now I’m hooked and have to set new challenges to train for.

  2. I was feeling sluggish and unhealthy and wanted to feel better about myself. Now, each day to try to challenge myself physically (by varying my training program and trying new activities) as well as mentally.

  4. i did start for vanity reasons (keep weight down) but you soon realise that it makes you feel amazing to work out and you can’t beat the sense of accomplishment and pride when you run an extra mile or do an extra pushup!

    Nursing two kids, with those uber-long nights, for 1.5 years apiece…it took every ounce of strength I had. They’re older now, I have time now, and I simply LOVE getting my strength and stamina back. It’s not just the physical piece of it…it ripples out into all parts of my Energy.

    (BTW, my ‘working out’ is probably not even considered as much to real worker-outers, but it get blood and oxygen pumping, and that’s enough for me!)

    I workout because I turn 40 this year and I want to be fit and in great shape!

    Because nothing beats leaving the gym after a great workout knowing that I’m that much stronger (both physically and mentally) than I was when I walked in. It’s an addicting feeling!

  13. I wanted to lose the last few pounds of baby weight and get my blood pressure lower, without medication. Now it’s for more reasons that I can list–to sum it up it makes me a happier person.

    I work out because if I tone my muscles and lose weight I might be able to put off the hip replacement (i’m 24, I REALLY don’t want it yet!)
