Make It Happen

Everyone has a distinct view of his or herself. We may not look the same to those around us, but in our head that vision is always there. Whether good or bad we all have it. There are some out there that love what they see and how they feel. For most, they always see room for improvement. If you are a part of the latter, I pose these two questions:

  1. How do you view yourself in the mirror?
  2. What are you doing to get yourself closer to what you consider ideal?

If you truly want to change, really think about your answers to these two questions. Once you can answer them honestly, you will find a way to change your life for the better.

Your body is a very accurate food diary.

    I’m so glad you brought this up. I think it’s also important to make sure that what you see in the mirror is accurate. So many of us see our bodies through a filter and only focus on the negatives. It’s crucial to be happy with our bodies and the gains that we’ve made!

    • Alex, you’re absolutely correct. Happiness comes from within and yes, we should celebrate our gains etc. but this post goes beyond that.

      When we look into the mirror… we see so much more than that. It’s spiritual, mental, emotional, physical health and well being that we’re talking about. Beyond the facade, to our personal truth.

    • We agree whole heartedly.

      Just because we’re not sick, doesn’t mean we’re healthy!! We go to the Dentist on a regular basis, just to keep our teeth, and gums healthy. We’ve got regular check ups at the Doctor’s office as well, but even that’s not a guarantee that something went un-noticed. All we can do on a daily basis is our best in all aspects. Eat clean, train dirty has become our daily mantra. But really and truly when you look into the mirror what do you see? When you’ve broken down the facade, and climbed over your protective walls, what is it that’s eating away at your core, and what steps are you taking to resolve these? Every day is a gift, we’ve got to use it wisely.

    I am finally where I want to be. It took a long time and I reached it two years ago. Maintaining is a constant effort. Te mirror says it all and I don’t ever want to go back.
